Program Overview
The Motive Power Technician – Truck and Coach program is designed to keep our roads safe and ensure the critical supply chain remains operational. As a student, you will develop essential skills that will last a lifetime while working under the guidance of experienced professors who are passionate about their trade. This program adheres to the Ontario College of Trades apprenticeship training standard and offers an optional paid co-op, allowing you to apply your skills in a real-world work environment. You will start by building a solid foundation in various systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and diesel engines, and then deepen your expertise in the truck and coach technician trade. Hands-on experience with the latest technologies will prepare you to maintain and repair trucks, buses, trailers, and related equipment, instilling pride in the quality and professionalism of your work.
