Academic Requirements

For the Double Degree - Bachelor Of Arts - Integrated Studies - History & Bachelor Of Education - Junior-Intermediate (Honours) program at Brock University, the following Academic Requirements apply:

General Academic Requirements:

Applicants must possess a Senior Secondary school credential appropriate for entry to university in their home country.
It is essential to have an academically rigorous Grade 12 year.
Prerequisites required for the program must be taken at the Grade 12 university-preparatory level (or equivalent).
Minimum B- average is required (higher for some programs).
Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

Documents Required for Preliminary Assessment:

Final grades and results from secondary studies must be provided, as published by the respective institution or examining board.
Current students must submit final grades/results to date and progress or predicted grades for in-progress studies.
Predicted grades may be submitted, but progress school grades are preferred.

Language Requirements

English is the primary language of instruction at Brock University. If your first language is not English, you must prove proficiency with one of the following:

IELTS - Academic: overall 6.5, no band below 6.0
TOEFL iBT: overall 88, no band below 21
Duolingo: minimum score of 110
CAEL: overall 70, no band below 60
PTE: 58
IELP Level 5: Successful completion of Level 5 of the Brock Intensive English Language program
CAE (C1 Advanced): 176 minimum score
CPE (C2 Proficiency): 176 minimum score
IB: Completion of the International Baccalaureate diploma with English A
English Language Instruction: A minimum of three previous years of full-time study (non-ESL) where the primary language of instruction and evaluation was English, with strong grades in English and other humanities/social science secondary school courses.

Online Proficiency Tests: Brock accepts the IELTS, TOEFL-at-Home Edition Test, Duolingo English Test, CAEL Online test, and the PTE Academic Online test.

IELTS One Skill Retake is accepted by Brock Undergraduate Admissions.
