Academic Requirements

York University is a highly selective university; therefore, meeting the minimum Academic Requirements and deadline dates is not a guarantee of admission. Only the most qualified candidates will be considered.

For international students, the following requirements must be met:

• Vietnam: Bằng Tốt Nghiệp Trung Học Phổ Thông/Senior School Graduation Certificate
• Other Asian Countries: Please refer to the specific requirements for your country as listed in the university's guidelines.

• Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

Language Requirements

To gain admission to the Bachelor of Science - Mathematics program at York University, you must demonstrate English language proficiency by presenting a minimum proficiency score on an accepted language test. The following English language tests are accepted:

• TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): iBT score of 88
• IELTS (International English Language Testing Service, Academic Module): score of 6.5
• Pearson PTE Academic: score of 60
• Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL): score of 60
• Cambridge English Language Assessment (CAE, CPE): C1 Advanced (no score below 180)
• Duolingo: score of 120

Please note: The IELTS Academic test is required for admission to York University. IELTS General will not be accepted for language proficiency requirements.

English proficiency tests are valid for a period of two years. If you have completed a program that meets the language requirements, you may not need to submit test scores. Please check with our team for more details.
