The Agriculture and Food Production program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic is designed to equip students with the essential skills needed for a successful career in the agriculture industry. Program structure

The Agriculture and Food Production diploma program spans a duration of 80 weeks and is offered at the Moose Jaw campus. The program structure includes:

  • Three paid co-operative education work terms, providing students with valuable real-world experience.
  • Classes and hands-on labs that total approximately 24–25 hours per week, complemented by an equal amount of time for homework and self-directed study.
  • A capstone project that encourages teamwork and coordination among students.
  • Opportunities for global learning experiences, allowing students to enhance their intercultural skills.

Students are accepted into the program on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of 30 students per year. The program is designed to ensure that students not only learn theoretical concepts but also apply them in practical settings, preparing them for the evolving demands of the agriculture industry.
