Program Overview

The Civil Engineering Technology program at RRC Polytech is designed to equip students with the skills necessary to design and support the infrastructure that drives our economy. This program offers a comprehensive education that prepares students for a career as engineering technologists in various specialized fields, including architectural engineering, environmental engineering, municipal engineering, structural engineering, and geomatics technology. Program Structure

The Civil Engineering Technology program is a full-time diploma program with a duration of 32 months. The program is structured as follows:

Common first year for all students to build foundational skills.
Specialization options available after the first year, allowing students to focus on their area of interest.
In-person hybrid delivery, primarily at the Notre Dame Campus.
Integration of work opportunities, including two paid co-op terms, to gain practical experience.
Courses are delivered in person, with some components available online.

Students will have the opportunity to engage in work-integrated learning, which includes co-op placements, field experiences, and industry projects, enhancing their employability upon graduation.

Estimator: Analyze project costs and prepare estimates for construction projects.
Geotechnical Engineering Technician: Assist in the analysis of soil and rock properties for construction projects.

Academic Requirements

Regular Academic Requirements

Grade 12
- Submit proof of graduation from or enrollment in Grade 12, including one credit in each of the following:
- If you provide proof of enrollment at the time of application, your official final grades indicating successful completion must be submitted by July 15 for fall enrollment or by the deadline specified in your admission letter.
- Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.
English Language Requirements (ELRs)
- To determine if you meet this program’s ELRs, answer the following question: Have I successfully completed 3 years of full-time high school (secondary) education in Canada, the United States, or an ELR exempt country where English was the language of instruction?

- 80 (20L, 20S, 19R, 21W) for Diplomas
- 90 (22L, 22S, 22R, 24W) for Bachelor Degrees
