Our Bachelor of Education (BEd) Primary-Junior program is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to become an effective 21st-century educator. The program focuses on developing thoughtful, well-informed, and socially responsible educational teachers who can make optimal use of new and emerging digital technologies for learning. Graduates will emerge as exceptional teachers and educational leaders, ready to make a difference in the lives of their students.

Program structure

The Bachelor of Education (BEd) Primary-Junior program is a 12 consecutive months postgraduate professional program offered full-time at Ontario Tech University, located in Downtown Oshawa. The program is delivered in-class and includes various experiential learning opportunities. Key features of the program structure include:

  • Internship and practicum experiences, providing hands-on teaching practice.
  • Focus on critical areas such as digital literacies, mathematics, coding, science, mental health, and inclusion.
