Our Bachelor of Education (BEd) Intermediate-Senior program is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to become an effective 21st-century educator. The program aims to develop thoughtful, well-informed, and socially responsible educational teachers who can optimally utilize new and emerging digital technologies for learning. Graduates will emerge as exceptional teachers and educational leaders, committed to making a difference in their communities. The program emphasizes an inclusive and equitable learning environment, ensuring that all courses reflect these principles.

Program structure

The Bachelor of Education (BEd) Intermediate-Senior program is a 12 consecutive months postgraduate professional program offered full-time at Ontario Tech University, Downtown Oshawa. The program includes:

  • Experiential learning through internships and practicums
  • In-class delivery method
  • Start dates in May

Students are required to have two teachable subjects to apply, with specific course requirements for each subject. The program is designed to equip future educators with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in modern educational settings.
