Program Overview

The Denturist Technology diploma program at NAIT is designed to equip students with the essential knowledge and skills required to assess, diagnose, design, fabricate, and insert both complete and partial dentures. This program emphasizes hands-on experience, ensuring that students are well-prepared for a career in the dental field. With a focus on practical training, students will gain valuable insights into the intricacies of denturist practices, making them competent professionals in the industry.

Program Structure

The Denturist Technology program spans a 3-year period, structured to provide a comprehensive educational experience. The program is divided into:

  • 2 years of theoretical and technical training - Students will engage in classroom learning and practical skills development.
  • 1 year of practicum placement - This hands-on experience takes place in a clinical environment, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings.

Students will have the opportunity to practice on state-of-the-art equipment in one of NAIT’s nine dedicated treatment rooms located in the NAIT Dental Clinic. The program is delivered in-person, with classes scheduled on weekdays during the daytime.
