Program Overview

The Architectural Technology program at George Brown College is a three-year advanced diploma designed to equip students with the essential knowledge and skills to thrive as Architectural Technologists. This program focuses on transforming architectural designs into technical construction documents and practical building solutions. Students will gain a solid foundation in various aspects of building design, construction methods, materials, and sustainable practices, preparing them for a successful career in the architectural and construction industry.

Program Structure

The Architectural Technology program spans a duration of three years, consisting of six semesters. The program is structured as follows:

  • Method of Study: Full-time
  • Starting Months: January and September
  • Experiential Learning: Available in Year 3 through a Divisional Select process
  • Co-op Option: A co-operative work placement experience is available for a limited number of students after the fourth semester, allowing them to gain practical experience in the field.

Students who enroll in January must complete semester 2 during the summer (May to August) to continue into semester 3 in the fall. The final semester will be offered through a blend of in-class and online studies, enabling students to graduate in April of their final year.
