Fanshawe's Electrical Engineering Technician program is a comprehensive two-year Ontario college diploma designed to equip students with essential skills and knowledge in electrical fundamentals, automation, and power generation and distribution. Throughout the program, students will work towards obtaining an AutoCAD certification, which is integral to their training. Academic Requirements

To apply for the Electrical Engineering Technician program at Fanshawe College, applicants must meet the following academic requirements:

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or a mature applicant with a Grade 12 Math course. Only one of the following courses will be accepted:
- Grade 12 Math for College Technology (C) - preferred
- Grade 12 Advanced Functions (U)
- Grade 12 Calculus and Vectors (U)
- Grade 12 Foundations for College Math (C)
Students who do not meet the admission requirements are recommended for academic upgrading. A conditional offer may be possible with proof of enrollment. Alternatively, applicants may choose to complete the one-year Trade Fundamentals preparatory program that provides all the admission requirements for this program.
Note: This program requires strong math skills. Grade 12 Foundations for College Math may not provide adequate academic preparation for this program. Math tutoring and extra help is offered at the college.
