Program Overview

The Civil Engineering Technology program at Fanshawe College is designed to equip students with the essential skills needed to plan, design, and construct as a civil engineering technician. This three-year Ontario college advanced diploma program focuses on the design of steel frame and reinforced concrete buildings, along with the selection and testing of construction materials. Students will gain proficiency in computer-assisted design and drafting, electronic surveying methods, and technical report writing. Graduates will enter the workforce with valuable experience, having completed a full twelve months of paid co-op.

The Civil Engineering Technology program is structured to provide a comprehensive education over a duration of 90 weeks. The program includes:
