Academic Requirements

The Advanced College Diploma - Business Administration - Accounting - Accelerated program at Conestoga College has specific academic requirements for admission. Here are the key points:

Applicants must possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or an equivalent qualification. Alternatively, applicants who are 19 years of age or older may apply under mature student status.
Grade 12 compulsory English is required, with a minimum grade of C (60%) or U (50%), or an equivalent qualification. Alternatively, completion of Conestoga College Preparatory Communications (COMM1251) with a minimum grade of 60% is acceptable.
Grade 12 Mathematics is also required, with a minimum grade of C (60%) or U (60%), or an equivalent qualification. Alternatively, completion of Conestoga College Preparatory Mathematics (MATH1375) with a minimum grade of 60% is acceptable.

For international students, particularly those from Vietnam and other Asian countries, it is essential to note the following:

Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.
If your transcripts are from outside of Canada, a comprehensive course-by-course credential evaluation is necessary. Approved providers for this service include ICAS or WES.
Applicants with transcripts from institutions where the language of instruction is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency.

Additionally, to maintain eligibility for the accelerated option, students must successfully complete 11 of the 12 first-year courses by the end of the second semester. Failure to do so will result in a transfer to the regular stream of Business Administration - Accounting.
