This program has a practical career-oriented approach, providing you with the knowledge and hands-on experience necessary to install, repair, secure, and maintain computers, servers, and computer networks. As a graduate of this one-year program, you will be well-prepared to work in various roles within the IT industry, focusing on system maintenance. With the growing importance of cybersecurity, this program is ideal for those seeking entry-level or help desk positions. You will also have the opportunity to pursue industry-recognized certifications that employers value, enhancing your employability in this in-demand field.

Program structure

The Cybersecurity & Network Support Technician program is designed to be completed in a duration of 8-12 months. The program is structured as follows:

  • Full-time study options available.
  • Includes a co-op or internship component, providing valuable work experience.
  • Hands-on learning with approximately half of the program time spent in dedicated labs.
  • Access to labs from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm for additional practice.
  • Option to graduate after two terms or continue for a second year to pursue a diploma.

This program consists of two academic terms, starting in September and concluding at the end of April. Students can choose to take a co-op work term or continue for a second year, where they will delve into more advanced topics such as networking, server security, and cloud computing.
