Program overview

The Information and Computer Systems Technologist program is designed to equip students with the skills necessary for a successful career in the IT field. This program prepares you for work both locally and globally, focusing on essential areas such as database design and management, network software design, and the administration and maintenance of networks and software. With a strong emphasis on practical IT solutions, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of computing systems, enabling them to tackle real-world challenges in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Program structure

The Information and Computer Systems Technologist program is structured to provide a thorough education over a period of two years. The program consists of:

  • A one-year full-time certificate in Information and Computer Systems Technician, which takes approximately nine months to complete.
  • Followed by an additional nine months of study to earn the full Information and Computer Systems Technology diploma.

This program is offered on a full-time basis and includes options for co-op or internship experiences, allowing students to gain valuable hands-on experience in the field. Students can choose to start their studies in either September or January, providing flexibility in their educational journey.
