The Civil Engineering Bridge to UVic program is designed for graduates of technology diplomas who aspire to continue their education and transition into third-year studies at the University of Victoria (UVic) or the University of British Columbia (UBC). This program focuses on equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in civil engineering, which encompasses various areas such as water resources, transportation, structural, geotechnical, municipal, and construction engineering. By completing this program, students will be well-prepared to pursue a Bachelor of Engineering degree, starting in January of the following year.

Program structure

The Civil Engineering Bridge to UVic program has a duration of 8 months and is offered on a full-time basis. This program is open to international students and includes the following key features:

  • Mandatory co-op or internship work experience, which enhances practical learning.
  • Option for an internship work term, providing additional hands-on experience.
  • Designed for graduates of technology diplomas, particularly those from Camosun College, but also welcomes applicants from other accredited Canadian Technology Accreditation Board (CTAB) programs.
