Program Overview

The Bachelor of Arts - Studies in Arts and Culture (Honours) is an integrated degree program that explores the interdisciplinary production of arts and culture. This program combines the strengths of the Faculties of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Goodman School of Business. Students will engage in innovative projects, such as creative publishing at the Small Walker Press, while examining various elements of Visual Arts, Dramatic Arts, Music, Dance, and more. The program emphasizes experiential learning, allowing students to customize their education and develop both hard and soft skills essential for success in the arts and culture sector.

Program Structure

The Bachelor of Arts - Studies in Arts and Culture (Honours) program is designed to provide a comprehensive education in the arts and culture field. The program length is four years and includes various concentrations to tailor the educational experience:

  • Cultural Management: Focuses on courses from the Goodman School of Business, preparing students for roles as cultural managers.
  • Cultural Transmission and Heritage Studies: A collaborative concentration that engages students in cross-disciplinary curatorial projects.
  • Languages, Arts and Culture: Combines language acquisition with interdisciplinary work in arts and culture.
