The BCIT Sustainable Business Leadership Advanced Diploma is an intensive program designed for individuals passionate about sustainability and environmental issues. The Sustainable Business Leadership Advanced Diploma is structured to be completed in 10 months, divided into three terms:

Academic Requirements

The Advanced Diploma in Sustainable Business Leadership at BCIT has specific academic requirements for applicants. To be eligible for this program, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

Option 1: Standard Entry
- Post-secondary education: Applicants must have a diploma, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in any discipline from BCIT or another recognized institution. Those enrolled in their final term must be on track to complete their program before the start date of the Sustainable Business Leadership program.
- Applicants who have completed post-secondary studies outside of Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, or New Zealand will require a basic evaluation of their credentials by the International Credential Evaluation Service (ICES). Credential evaluation reports from other Canadian services may also be considered.
Option 2: Alternate Entry
- If applicants do not have the required post-secondary education but possess five or more years of professional business experience, they may qualify for alternate entry. This requires completing a questionnaire to assess their education, experience, and interest.

For international students, a valid BCIT study permit is required prior to starting the program. Additionally, students must complete a mandatory work component to qualify for graduation, which necessitates a co-op work permit.

Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

Language Requirements

To apply for the Sustainable Business Leadership program, which is an Advanced Diploma at the postgraduate level, you must demonstrate proficiency in English. The following assessments are accepted for this program:

International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - Overall score of 7.0 with no band less than 6.0
Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL) Test - 80 overall band score with no component below 70
Duolingo English Test - 130 overall with no integrated subscore less than 105
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) - Overall score of 65 with no skill score less than 60
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT) - Overall score of 90 with no section score less than 20
Cambridge Assessment English - C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency with a minimum overall score of 185

Test results must be dated no more than two years before the start date of the program you’re applying to.
