Program Overview
The Office Administrator with Technology (OAT) program is a hands-on certificate program designed to equip students with essential computer and business skills required for administrative roles. This program is perfect for individuals looking to quickly upskill for a career switch, re-enter the workforce, or start a new career in office administration. With a focus on practical training, students will gain job-ready skills in just 5.5 months, preparing them to join the workforce immediately. The program offers both in-person and online delivery options, making it accessible to a wide range of students.
Program Structure
The Office Administrator with Technology program is structured to provide a comprehensive learning experience over a total of 5.5 months, which includes:
- 3 months of hands-on learning and realistic business projects.
- 2 months of practical work experience through a full-time work term in the industry or completion of a Capstone Project.
This full-time program runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. There are two intakes available:
- April (in-person at the Downtown Campus)
- October (fully online)
Students will also participate in various activities to enhance their employability, including mock interviews, resume writing workshops, and creating a professional LinkedIn profile. The program emphasizes the development of communication and teamwork skills, as well as introducing students to Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to achieve AI literacy.
