The Building Construction Technician program is an accelerated two-year Ontario College Diploma designed to equip students with essential knowledge and skills for a successful career in the building industry. This program is delivered over three academic periods (semesters) and emphasizes hands-on learning from day one. Students will gain a solid foundation in various aspects of the construction industry, including safety practices, drafting, structure design, and the use of industry-standard computer applications like AutoCAD. All practical classes are conducted in the state-of-the-art Algonquin Centre for Construction Excellence (ACCE), which is fully equipped with modern tools and technology.

The Building Construction Technician program is structured to provide a comprehensive education over a two-year period, divided into three academic semesters. The program includes:
