Program Overview

York University’s Bachelor of Educational Studies – Cities, Regions, Planning is an innovative interdisciplinary program designed for students interested in how education intersects with urban life and community development. This program examines the ways educational systems and policies influence – and are influenced by – the social, political, and physical structure of cities and regions. Students explore key topics such as inclusive education, youth engagement, sustainability, and urban inequality. While this program does not lead to teacher certification, it opens doors to careers in policy development, nonprofit work, and planning-related fields that focus on social justice and education.

Program Structure

This is a 4-year Honours degree program that includes:
