Academic Requirements

York University is a highly selective university; therefore, meeting the minimum Academic Requirements and deadline dates is not a guarantee of admission. Only the most qualified candidates will be considered.

For international students applying to the Bachelor of Commerce - Information Technology program, the following requirements must be met:

• Transcripts: Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.
• Vietnam: Applicants must provide a Bằng Tốt Nghiệp Trung Học Phổ Thông/Senior School Graduation Certificate.
• Other Asian Countries: Specific requirements may vary, but generally, applicants should have completed secondary education equivalent to the Canadian high school diploma.

It is important to note that if you have completed the requirements for entry into university in your home country, you are encouraged to submit these documents for consideration on an individual basis.

Language Requirements

To gain admission to the Bachelor of Commerce - Information Technology program at York University, you must demonstrate English language proficiency by presenting a minimum score on an accepted language test. The following English language tests are accepted:

• TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): iBT score of 88
• IELTS (International English Language Testing Service): Academic Module score of 6.5
• Pearson PTE Academic: score of 60
• Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL): score of 60
• Cambridge English Language Assessment (CAE, CPE): C1 Advanced (no score below 180)
• Duolingo: score of 120

Important Note: The IELTS Academic test is required for admission to York University. IELTS General will not be accepted for language proficiency requirements.
