Program Overview

The Diploma in Agriculture is a practical, hands-on program designed to equip students with the skills necessary to manage a farm or work in the agricultural business sector. This program emphasizes the development of essential communication and leadership skills, which are crucial for success in the ever-evolving Agri-Food industry. Program Structure

The Diploma in Agriculture is structured as a two-year program that allows students to specialize in areas of interest through various program options. The program includes:

    • Crop Management
    • Livestock Management
    • General Agriculture
  • Co-op Option: Students have the opportunity to integrate academic study with practical work experience through a Cooperative Education option. A co-op term can be completed during the summer without extending the program duration, with only one co-op term required for graduation.

Classes typically begin in mid-September and conclude in early April, accommodating students' agricultural responsibilities such as planting and harvesting. This structure ensures that students receive a well-rounded education while also gaining practical experience in the field.
