Academic Requirements

For admission to the Bachelor of Arts & Science - Music & Agricultural Studies program at the University of Lethbridge, the following requirements must be met:

Canadian high school students in Alberta must have completed five of the following courses with a minimum 65% average across them:

Required Course: English Language Arts 30-1
Three of the following courses are required:
- Aboriginal Studies 30
- Art 30 or Art 31
- Biology 30
- Chemistry 30
- Choral Music 30, General Music 30, or Instrumental Music 30
- Dance 35
- Drama 30
- Mathematics 30-1 or Mathematics 30-2
- Mathematics 31
- Physics 30
- Science 30
- Social Studies 30-1
- Five credits in Advanced-level CTS Computer Science (CSE)
- One or more distinct languages at the 30 level
One additional requirement from the list above: This must be at the 30 level and worth at least five credits (multiple courses worth a total of five or more credits can be used).

This program also requires:

If you are taking it as a Bachelor of Arts, one of the courses you include must be Mathematics 30-1 or 30-2.
If you are taking it as a Bachelor of Science, three of the courses you include must be Biology 30, Chemistry 30, and Mathematics 30-1.
Students who do a concentration in Geographic Information Science can choose between Mathematics 30-1 or 30-2.

Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases. Vietnam International Students: Require at least four years of study with a minimum overall grade of 7/10. Language Requirements

The University of Lethbridge has specific English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements for students applying to the Bachelor of Arts & Science - Music & Agricultural Studies program. To demonstrate proficiency in English, applicants can provide evidence through various accepted examinations. The following tests and their respective minimum scores are accepted:

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) (iBT or iBT Home Edition) - Minimum total score of 86, with at least 20 in each section.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - Minimum overall score of 6.5, with at least 6.0 in each band. IELTS One Skill Retake results are accepted.
Cambridge English Qualifications: C1 Advanced - Minimum score of 176, with at least 176 in each subscore.
Cambridge English Qualifications: C2 Proficiency - Minimum score of 176, with at least 176 in each subscore.
Academic Pearson Test of English (PTE) - Minimum overall score of 61, with at least 60 in each part.
Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL) - Minimum overall score of 70, with at least 60 in each component.
Duolingo English Test - Minimum overall score of 120, with at least 110 in each subscore.
