Academic Requirements

To apply for the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology and Criminology program at the University of Windsor, prospective students should be aware of the following Academic Requirements:

• Minimum GPA: A minimum GPA of 70% is required for admission.
• Transcripts: Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.
• International Students: Specific requirements for international students include:
  • Submission of official transcripts from all secondary and post-secondary institutions attended.
  • Proof of completion of secondary school equivalent to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).

Language Requirements

To apply for the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Psychology and Criminology program at the University of Windsor, applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency by providing satisfactory scores from one of the following accepted tests:

• Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
• Carleton Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL)
• International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - Academic
• Pearson Test of English (PTE) - Minimum score of 65 for IELTS of 6.5, and a minimum score of 68 for IELTS of 7.0.
• Duolingo English Test - Minimum score of 120.
• International Language Academy of Canada (ILAC) - Completion of the ILAC Pathway Program Level 3.3.
• International Centre for English for Academic Preparation Inc. (ICEAP) - Completion of the ICEAP Toronto Education Cohort Program with an EAP Certificate and a minimum grade of 70%.

All test scores are valid for 2 years from the date the test was taken, and tests must be valid at the beginning of the term in which a student starts their program.

Additionally, applicants may be exempt from submitting an English language proficiency examination score if they meet one of the following conditions:

1. Within the past two years, you have completed a university degree at a Canadian institution.
2. Within the past two years, you have completed a university degree at an institution where English was the primary language of instruction.
