The Trades Foundation Certificate - Heavy Mechanical program is designed to support pre-apprenticeship training for all four heavy mechanical trades. This program provides students with the foundational skills necessary to enter the workforce as apprentices in the heavy mechanical field. It emphasizes hands-on training, allowing students to engage in practical projects that prepare them for immediate employment. Program structure

The Trades Foundation Certificate - Heavy Mechanical program has a duration of 32 weeks. This comprehensive program includes:

  • Pre-apprenticeship training for four heavy mechanical trades.

Students are required to supply their own safety equipment, including safety boots, glasses, and coveralls. The program does not require any previous experience or training in the industry, making it accessible to all interested individuals. Additionally, mature students aged 19 and older may apply for admission even if they lack the standard educational requirements, provided they meet specific course prerequisites.
