Program Overview

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program at Simon Fraser University's Beedie School of Business is designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of business principles and practices. This undergraduate program emphasizes a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, preparing students for a dynamic business environment. Program Structure

The Bachelor of Business Administration program is structured to provide a balanced education over a total of 120 units. The program is divided into two main segments:

  • The first 60 units focus primarily on non-business courses, which are categorized into three groups:
    • Lower division requirements, mainly foundation courses.
    • Courses that meet university requirements in writing, quantitative skills, and breadth areas.
    • Elective courses chosen based on personal interests or academic goals.
  • The final 60 units consist of core upper division business courses, at least one area of concentration, and additional electives.

Students are also required to complete the Business Foundation Pathways within their first year, which is essential for their progression in the program. This structure ensures that students gain both breadth and depth in their business education, preparing them for various career paths.
