Program overview

Seneca’s Environmental Landscape Management (EVL) diploma program is designed to equip students with the skills necessary for sustainable careers in the landscape industry. Located at Seneca’s King Campus, the program offers a unique learning environment across more than 200 acres of diverse ecosystems, including meadows, wetlands, and forests. Students engage in a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on fieldwork, focusing on both traditional and innovative practices in landscape design, installation, and maintenance. The curriculum emphasizes ecology and the impact of human activities on the environment, preparing graduates for a variety of roles in the growing field of environmental landscaping.

Program structure

The Environmental Landscape Management program spans a duration of 4 semesters (2 years) and is offered in a hybrid format, combining online and in-person learning. Students can choose to study full-time, allowing for an immersive educational experience. Key features of the program structure include:

• Optional co-op work term for practical experience
