Program overview

The Art & Design Foundations (ADF) program at Seneca provides a comprehensive foundation in both traditional and digital art. This program is designed to build essential skills in art, design, creativity, and critical thinking. Students will engage with a robust curriculum that integrates design principles, visual culture, and professional practices, ensuring a strong grounding in the art and design fields. The program not only focuses on technical abilities but also prepares students for advanced studies in applied arts programs such as Animation and Illustration.

Program structure

The Art & Design Foundations program is structured to be completed in 2 semesters (8 months), with a full-time study option available. The program is delivered in-person at the Seneca@York campus. Key features of the program structure include:
