Program Overview

The Civil Engineering Technology - Municipal Major program at SAIT is designed to equip students with the skills necessary to design, draft, cost, and manage the construction of various municipal infrastructure projects, including buildings, roads, and bridges. This two-year intensive program combines hands-on learning with theoretical knowledge, utilizing advanced technology to prepare students for real-world challenges in civil engineering. Students will explore all facets of civil engineering design and construction management, ensuring they are well-prepared for a successful career in the field.

Program Structure

The Civil Engineering Technology program is structured to provide a comprehensive education over a period of two years. The program includes:

  • Hands-on learning experiences combined with theoretical knowledge.
  • Real-world applications in construction engineering scenarios.
  • Opportunities to specialize in one of three majors: construction management, municipal, or virtual design and construction.
