Program Overview

The Associate of Arts - Latin American Studies program at Langara College offers an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the geography, culture, history, and political economy of Latin America. This program is designed for students who wish to explore this diverse region through a comprehensive curriculum that includes core courses and a variety of elective options. All courses are university-transferable, allowing students to either pursue their interests or apply their studies toward an Associate of Arts Degree or an Arts and Science Diploma in Latin American Studies. Many graduates continue their education by pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Latin American Studies or related fields.

The Associate of Arts - Latin American Studies program is structured to be completed in a minimum of 2 years of full-time study. The program includes:
