Program Overview

Occupational Health and Safety Management is an Ontario College Graduate Certificate that prepares graduates for entry-level supervisory roles in the field of occupational health and safety (OHS). The program is approved by the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) as meeting their formal education requirement to earn the Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST®). The program will appeal to domestic and international students interested in a full-time, blended delivery program that combines theory and practice, culminating with work-integrated learning. Graduates will be prepared for employment in all occupational environments, from manufacturing and healthcare to transportation and agriculture, as in-house professionals or as consultants.

Program Structure

The Occupational Health and Safety Management program is structured to be completed in 1 year over the course of 2 semesters. This program offers a full-time, blended delivery format that combines theoretical knowledge with practical application. Students will engage in work-integrated learning experiences that enhance their understanding of occupational health and safety practices. The program is designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in various occupational environments, including:
