Program Overview
The Electrical Techniques program helps students build the skills required for a career in the electrical industry. Students will gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice in electrical fundamentals. During the program, students can develop the basic skills required to become an electrical apprentice. This program is the first step towards a career as a professional tradesperson. Students are also introduced to the fundamental elements of the trade, including regulations and practices.
In keeping with Ministry and the Ontario College of Trades standards, the program will deliver content that meets the requirements for Level 1 in-school Electrician apprenticeship (309A/442A) training.

The Electrical Techniques program is structured to provide a comprehensive education over a period of 1 year, consisting of 2 semesters. The program is delivered in a hybrid format, allowing students to engage in both in-person and online learning experiences. This flexibility is designed to accommodate various learning styles and schedules.
