Program Overview

The Electrical Techniques program is designed to equip students with essential skills for a successful career in the electrical industry. Throughout the program, students will acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in electrical fundamentals. This program serves as a foundational step for those aspiring to become electrical apprentices and professional tradespeople. Students will also be introduced to key elements of the trade, including regulations and practices. In alignment with the standards set by the Ministry and the Ontario College of Trades, the program content meets the requirements for Level 1 in-school Electrician apprenticeship training. Upon completion, graduates will be well-prepared to advance to the Electrical Technician or Electrical Technology programs at Centennial College.
