Program Overview

By attending the Bachelor of Information Technology (Computer and Communication Networks), Honours program, you'll be part of a select group of Ontario students to receive a four-year degree in information technology. The Ministry of Colleges and Universities specifically selected Centennial College to deliver this applied science program, addressing the province's critical need for IT infrastructure professionals. This program is unique as Centennial is the only post-secondary institution in Ontario offering a Bachelor of Information Technology in this specialization.

 

Throughout the four years in the School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science, students will engage in a blend of technology and business subjects. The curriculum covers the latest technologies in Computer Systems, Networks, Cybersecurity, and Telecommunications, ensuring a hands-on approach that balances practical and theoretical knowledge. Graduates may also qualify for admission to post-graduate programs.

Program Structure

The Bachelor of Information Technology (Computer and Communication Networks), Honours program is designed to be completed in 4 years or 9 semesters. The program is delivered in a hybrid format, combining both in-person and online learning experiences. Students will have the opportunity to specialize in areas such as Security or Wireless Networks through technical electives in their third and fourth years.
