Program Overview

The Automation and Robotics - Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology program at Centennial College is designed to equip students with the essential knowledge and hands-on experience necessary for a successful career in automation and robotics technology. This advanced diploma program covers a comprehensive range of topics, including automation theory, basic circuitry, and its application in automated systems. Students will also delve into various aspects of electro-mechanical technology, such as mechanics, electricity, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). The program emphasizes practical learning, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to meet industry demands.

Program Structure

The Automation and Robotics program is structured to be completed in three years or six semesters. The program is delivered in-person at the Progress Campus, providing students with direct access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. Students have the option to participate in a co-op program, which allows them to gain valuable work experience while studying. This co-op option is designed to enhance the learning experience and provide students with practical skills that are highly sought after in the job market. The program is aligned with the Post-Graduation Work Permit, making it an excellent choice for both domestic and international students.
