Welcome to the Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Earth and Planetary Science Communication at Brock University! This unique program is the only one in Canada that merges the study of Earth Sciences with essential communication skills, all within a comprehensive four-year undergraduate degree. Academic Requirements

For the Bachelor of Arts and Sciences - Earth and Planetary Science Communication program, the following Academic Requirements apply:

General Academic Requirements:

Senior Secondary school credential appropriate for entry to university in your home country.
Academically rigorous grade 12 year.
Prerequisites required for your program must be taken at the Grade 12 university-preparatory level (or equivalent) and are the highest level of secondary studies available in your final year of secondary school.
You may be required to submit course outlines so Admissions can determine if a prerequisite meets the rigorous academic standard required for admissibility.
Minimum B- average (higher for some programs).

For international students, particularly those from Vietnam and other Asian countries, it is essential to ensure that your academic credentials are recognized and meet the standards set by Brock University.

Additionally, transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

Language Requirements

English is the primary language of instruction at Brock University. If your first language is not English, you must prove proficiency with one of the following:

IELTS - Academic: overall 6.5, no band below 6.0
TOEFL iBT: overall 88, no band below 21
Duolingo: minimum score of 110
CAEL: overall 70, no band below 60
PTE: 58
IELP Level 5: Successful completion of Level 5 of the Brock Intensive English Language program
CAE (C1 Advanced): 176 minimum score
CPE (C2 Proficiency): 176 minimum score
IB: Completion of the International Baccalaureate diploma with English A
English Language Instruction: A minimum of three previous years of full-time study (non-ESL) where the primary language of instruction and evaluation was English, with strong grades in English and other humanities/social science secondary school courses.

Online Proficiency Tests: Brock accepts the IELTS, TOEFL-at-Home Edition Test, Duolingo English Test, CAEL Online test, and the PTE Academic Online test.

IELTS One Skill Retake is accepted by Brock Undergraduate Admissions.
