Program Overview

The Double Degree - Bachelor of Arts & Bachelor of Education (5-Year Integrated) program at Brandon University is designed for students aspiring to become Early or Middle years teachers. This integrated program allows high school graduates to access teacher education immediately, enabling them to earn a Bachelor of Arts while simultaneously completing coursework in the Bachelor of Education program. Graduates will be equipped to teach all subject areas, including English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, and will focus on two teachable subject areas. The program emphasizes unique field experiences linked to classroom learning from the very first year, fostering strong relationships between students and instructors.

 

Program Structure

The 5-year program is structured to allow students to complete both their Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees simultaneously. Here are some key features of the program structure:

  • Students will complete a total of 150 credit hours: 90 credit hours for the Bachelor of Arts and 60 credit hours for the Bachelor of Education.
