International Students:
Official transcripts/documents must be sent directly from the granting institution or examination authority.
All documents submitted become the property of Brandon University.
Students in their final year of high school must include a letter from the Principal or designate attesting that graduation from high school will occur before the start of University.
Transcripts not in English must be translated by a certified translator along with a note indicating that the translator received documents in a sealed envelope. The original official transcript and the translation must be sent to the Admissions Office.
Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.
Secondary School Admission Requirement: Minimum five academic subjects in final year or senior exit exam with an overall average of C or higher on those subjects.
British Patterned Education (GCE): Minimum 2 Advanced (A) levels and 3 Ordinary (O) levels required with an average of C or higher on those subjects.
International Baccalaureate (IB): International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum overall score of 24 points. The IB Diploma must include at least three Higher Level courses, with the remaining courses at either the Higher Level or the Standard Level.
West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE): C5 or higher in a minimum of five subjects, including English and Mathematics.

Language Requirements
At Brandon University, demonstrating English language proficiency is essential for all applicants, regardless of citizenship status or country of origin. The university recognizes various methods to meet the English language proficiency requirement, which are as follows:
Successful completion of a three‐year secondary school program at a school where English is the language of instruction.
Successful completion of three consecutive years of full‐time post‐secondary study at a recognized institution where English is the language of instruction (overall post‐secondary CGPA must be 2.0).
Any combination of three consecutive years of full‐time study in secondary and post‐secondary education at recognized institutions where English is the language of instruction (overall post‐secondary CGPA must be 2.0).
Graduation from a Manitoba high school with at least one Grade 12 English 40S credit with a minimum grade of 70%.
Graduation from a Canadian high school (outside Manitoba) with at least one Grade 12 English credit equivalent to Manitoba 40S with a minimum grade of 70%.
Completion of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Higher Level (HL) English course with a score of four (4) or greater.
Completion of Advanced Placement (AP) English Literature and Composition or Language and Composition with a score of four (4) or greater.
