This four-year honours degree program prepares students for a career in event management at local, national, and international levels. It encompasses various sectors including entertainment, sport, corporate, tourism, travel, business, non-profit, politics, art, culture, and fashion. With the rapid globalization of the event industry, the complexity of today's events necessitates the expertise of trained professionals. Students will acquire essential skills to design, project manage, and execute a wide range of events, impacting audiences globally. The program emphasizes strategic planning, marketing, and project management, while also fostering teamwork, leadership, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Program structure

The Bachelor of Event, Sport, and Entertainment Management (Honours) program is designed to be completed in four years. The program includes:

  • Hands-on experience through local, national, and international co-op placements.
  • A culminating project where students design, plan, and execute a live event with an industry client.
  • Opportunities to study abroad at Munster Technological University (MTU) in Tralee, Ireland for a semester.

Students will engage in a variety of learning experiences that integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application, ensuring they are well-prepared for the dynamic event management industry.
