Program Overview

The Dental Technology Sciences program at Vancouver Community College (VCC) is a specialized and hands-on training pathway for students who want to enter the dental health industry by working behind the scenes to design and fabricate dental appliances. This program is ideal for those who enjoy working with precision tools, 3D modeling, and contributing to patient care through creative, technical work.

Students will learn how to craft dentures, crowns, bridges, orthodontic devices, and more using the latest digital and traditional techniques. The program emphasizes both manual skills and the use of advanced dental lab technologies, preparing graduates for rewarding careers in a fast-growing field.

Program Structure

This 2-year full-time diploma program blends theoretical learning with extensive hands-on practice in VCC’s state-of-the-art dental laboratory. Students will be introduced to dental anatomy, materials science, dental CAD/CAM systems, and laboratory management.
