The Graduate Diploma in Music Performance is tailored for talented instrumentalists and singers aiming to elevate their performance skills to a professional level. This program emphasizes intensive work in performance, allowing students to engage in solo, chamber, operatic, and orchestral settings both on and off campus. Students can choose between two modes of delivery: in-person training on campus or digital training via online platforms, with the latter available for instruments only. The program is designed for those who have already achieved a significant level of proficiency and aspire to become professional musicians.

Program structure

The Graduate Diploma in Music Performance typically spans one academic year (from September to April) but can be completed within a maximum of two years. This program is intended for students who have previously earned a BMus or MMus degree. The curriculum includes:

  • 12 units of core courses
  • 3 units of optional courses

Students will have the opportunity to focus on developing their performance skills through various practical experiences. The program also offers options for co-op placements and internships, enhancing real-world learning and professional development.
