The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Second Language Teaching - Teaching French as a Second Language (FLS) is a unique multidisciplinary undergraduate program offered jointly by the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ottawa. This program is the only one of its kind in Canada, focusing on the theories of language acquisition and the interrelationships between language, culture, and society. Students will explore second language learning and teaching methodologies. Upon graduation, students who wish to become second language teachers may have reserved spots in the Teacher Education (BEd) program, provided they meet the admission requirements.
