Academic Requirements

Applicants must meet the following Academic Requirements:

International students must have completed their secondary education and hold a high school diploma, specifically the Bằng Tốt Nghiệp Trung Học Phổ Thông.
Applicants must have a minimum average of 7.5/10 and have passed five subjects, including the prerequisites, in their senior year.
Prerequisite courses must be completed in the senior year, and a minimum score of 5/10 is required for these courses.
For those who have taken postsecondary courses, a minimum average of 70% is required, along with passing the necessary prerequisites.
Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

For international students, especially those from Vietnam and other Asian countries, it is essential to ensure that all documents are submitted in accordance with the guidelines provided by the University. French Requirements

You must achieve the scores below for all programs offered in a direct-entry faculty. Even if you achieve the required score, we reserve the right to have you take language courses if we feel that your knowledge of one of our two official languages is not satisfactory. All language proficiency tests must be completed less than two years before the beginning of the term indicated on your application for admission to the University of Ottawa.

DALF (Diplôme approfondi de langue française): C1 or C2
DELF (Diplôme d’études en langue française): B2 (A score of 16/25 is required in Production écrite)
TCF (Test de connaissance du français; the three mandatory sections are required; only the TCF Tout Public and the TCF DAP are accepted for admissions purposes): B2
TEF – Autres usage, avec 5 épreuves: B2
