Master the in-demand skills of machine technology with Sheridan's 2-year Mechanical Technician – Industrial Millwright diploma program. This program is designed to equip students with the essential tools to succeed in the industrial millwright field. Students will learn how to build, install, maintain, and repair complex machinery in various production facilities. With hands-on experience using industry-standard equipment, graduates will be well-prepared to analyze and troubleshoot emerging machinery, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the trades.

Program Structure

The Mechanical Technician – Industrial Millwright program is structured to provide a comprehensive education over a 2-year period. The program includes:

  • Hands-on training with state-of-the-art equipment.
  • Exposure to emerging technologies such as robotics, CNC machining, and programmable logic controllers (PLC).
  • Opportunities to earn apprenticeship hours through an optional one-year co-op program.
  • Focus on developing both technical and soft skills to support students in the automated manufacturing industry.

This program is PGWP-aligned, allowing international students to work in Canada after graduation. Students will graduate with an Ontario College Diploma, ready to enter the job market with a solid understanding of machine technology and workshop practices.
