Program overview

The Police Foundations program at Seneca College is designed to prepare students for a rewarding career in law enforcement and crime prevention. This two-year diploma program combines professional knowledge with practical skills development, equipping graduates for various roles in public safety, policing, investigations, security, and corrections. Program structure

The Police Foundations program is structured to provide a comprehensive education over a period of 4 semesters. Depending on the start date, the program can be completed in either 24 months for a Fall start or 16 months for a Winter start. The program is offered in various formats, including:

Students have the flexibility to choose their preferred mode of learning, which accommodates different schedules and learning styles. Additionally, the program includes pathways for further education, allowing graduates with a GPA of 3.0 or higher to enter the Honours Bachelor of Crime and Intelligence Analysis program at Seneca, enabling them to complete their degree in as little as two additional years.
