Program Overview

The Dual Degree program combines a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a Bachelor of Education in Junior/Intermediate. This unique program is designed for students who are passionate about both criminal justice and education, providing a comprehensive understanding of policing and teaching methodologies. Students will engage in a rigorous curriculum that prepares them for careers in law enforcement and education, equipping them with the necessary skills to make a positive impact in their communities.

The Dual Degree program is structured to provide a well-rounded education in both criminal justice and education. Key details include:

  • Program Length: Typically spans four years.
  • Credits Required: A total of 120 credits must be completed.
  • Streams Available: Students can choose from various streams, including Policing.
  • Collaboration: The program includes a block of 30 credits for the Policing Stream, offered in collaboration with Canadore College.
  • Electives: Students are required to complete 33 elective credits.

 

Students must also meet specific academic requirements, including maintaining a minimum average of 70% for the Honours program and 60% for the four-year program.
