This program is designed for those who aspire to become proficient welders, providing hands-on experiential learning in a state-of-the-art facility. Graduates will receive a 1 Year Certificate, preparing them for a rewarding career in the welding industry.

Program structure

The Welding Techniques program is structured to provide comprehensive training over a 1 Year period. The program emphasizes hands-on learning and practical experience, ensuring that students are well-prepared for the workforce. Key features of the program structure include:

  • Hands-on experiential learning in a full-size weld shop and fabrication lab.
  • Practical experience with metal fabrication projects from engineering drawings through to welding processes.
  • Understanding of industry-standard inspection procedures.
  • Opportunities for related programs such as Welding Technician, Welder Apprenticeship, and Metal Fabricator (Fitter) Apprenticeship.

This program is also eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), allowing graduates to gain valuable Canadian work experience.
