Program Overview

The Community Mental Health – Multidiscipline program at Niagara College is an intensive one-year course designed specifically for internationally trained students. Upon successful completion, students are awarded an Ontario College Graduate Certificate. This program aims to build upon the foundational knowledge of mental health acquired in pre-registration healthcare disciplines, addressing current issues and trends in mental health care in Canada. It emphasizes best practices in nursing and other healthcare professions, focusing on providing optimal care to clients with diverse mental health disorders across their lifespan.
