Academic Requirements

The Marketing and Design Certificate program at Medicine Hat College has specific academic requirements for admission. To be eligible for this program, students must meet the following criteria:

• Graduation from a diploma at an accredited post-secondary institution.
• Note: Special acceptance to the program can be made by the Dean if equivalent work experience, education, or training is provided.

In terms of graduation requirements, students must:

• Complete all required courses.
• Attain a minimum GPA of 2.0.

Language Requirements

For the Marketing And Design program at Medicine Hat College, the following English Language Proficiency (ELP) examinations are accepted:

• Duolingo: 105
• CAE (Cambridge English Language Assessment): 180
• CPE (Cambridge English Proficiency): 180

• TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language – internet based): 79

For advanced English language proficiency, the following scores are required:

• MELAB: Score of 90 with a minimum score of “3 plus” on the speaking test
• PTE: 64 but students must also complete another exam with a spoken language requirement
• TOEFL iBT: 92 with a minimum of 23 in each sub-score
