Academic Requirements

For admission to the Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.) or Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree program, candidates typically need to meet the following academic requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of a B standing (70%) in relevant fields such as mining, mineral processing, metallurgical, civil, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
Candidates holding an Honours B.Sc. in chemistry, geology, physics, or another appropriate discipline may be considered for the M.A.Sc. program, but may need to complete qualifying courses from the undergraduate engineering curriculum before admission.

Transcripts may be required to be evaluated by WES in some cases.

International students, including those from Vietnam and other Asian countries, are encouraged to contact LOA Portal's advisors for any clarification and support regarding their specific requirements.

PTE Academic - Pearson Test of English: 60 overall.
DuoLingo English Test:
- 120 overall
- No Individual Subscore in Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening lower than 110.
Oxford English Language Level Test (ELLT):
- 7 score
- No band below 6.
