The Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate program at Langara College is designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge required to work effectively with young children, families, and community partners. This program emphasizes the importance of inclusion and respect for all children and families, integrating these values throughout the curriculum. Students will engage in meaningful theory courses and a variety of practicum experiences, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of professional practice in early childhood education.
Program Structure
The ECE Certificate program offers two distinct delivery modes to accommodate different learning preferences:
- Full-time, in-person program: This is a one-year program that requires students to attend classes on campus and participate in integrated practicum assignments.

Both programs have specific intakes:
- The full-time program has intakes in September and January.
- The part-time program has three intakes per year: September, January, and May.
